What

BPP is a training program for preparing soldiers for the board. On the starting screen you can see general board info like the creeds and headlines from stars and stripes, you can start a random question or start a game of jeopardy. There are currently 48 subjects with questions from the free army study guide (although up to 100 subjects and 100 questions each can be added by anyone). Once a game of jeopardy is started up to 5 players can be created with custom avatars. The program will randomize both subjects and questions then display it to the user for selection. There is single, double and final jeopardy. The winner is displayed at the end as well as all the missed questions/answers.

How

BPP was created with Visual Studio under the VB.net programming language.  The program uses a stream reader to read through all text files numbered 1-100 in the data folder.  The program then separates subject titles, questions and answers and stores the values into the systems memory (this happens at startup). This allows for any user to add their own subjects and questions easily.  Further applications such as tests or sending questions via outlook can be developed with this framework but I have yet to do so.

Why

This provides a great way to build a foundation of army knowledge without tedious memorizing techniques. Also this is a way for young soldiers to more easily study together. Although it should be noted that this program does not replace but only supplements current studying techniques such as memorizing facts and guidelines from ARs or FMs.
